We saw Jared last night in his play. He did fantastic! He was very good at being a "storyteller" and I loved watching him. The long black hair just added to his look-it was great. ;)

Class Today

Today in my Discipleship Training class (with President Eyring's son Bro. Eyring) we did a case study on a family where the father suffered from a PSC, a liver disease. He had suffered for almost 30 years and dealt with it rather well till the last year a half. Since January he has lost 50 pounds. His liver has always been afflicted but the real fear is that he will develop cancer soon. If he waits, he'll surely have cancer and once the cancer gets past his liver he can't receive a transplant. He also can't be on the transplant list until his condition is even more severe. The only option if he wants to live is if he receives a live donation from either his wife or eldest son who just got married in August. We talked about the case for about 45 minutes. After that Bro Eyring introduced the guests in the room as the family we were studying. It was incredible as they went to the front of the classroom and talked for the last 45 minutes about their experiences. The mom was finally going to be the donor and a week before the surgery it came back that there were complications and she couldn't do it. It now falls on the son and he is currently getting tested for it. It's hard to explain on a blog post, but it was so amazing how they presented themselves not as a suffering family, but as a family that has overcome their burdens and trials and fears. They still have to go through with the transplant but their faith has overcome everything. The end.

wow Jared. I can't even imagine how much Frank (our very picky boss at Gecko's) loves your hair like that! Good thing he hasn't fired you for it!

New Pics

New pictures are on our blog, including smiling pics, halloween and blessing day. There's a link on the right side of here if you want to check them out.
I'm just glad I was on my mission for that picture, mom and dad look a little too passionate in that kiss. Someone's hormones were raging...
I have to say, Spencer's expression in the picture doesn't look all that disgusted... it's more like he's looking at Heather with the face "why are we acting grossed out, WE should be kissing"

Kissing and Stuff

I have to say I don't at all enjoy watching people kiss. It's much more fun to be the one kissing, especially since I get to kiss Spencer!

I like kissing...
You're right. I can't deny it! But hey, we're supposed to branch out, broaden our horizons, increase our skills and abilities in new ways, try new things, become well rounded. I'm just working on all of that...
But it's still kinda gross when mom and dad kiss and I would still pose in a picture like that and act all grossed out.
Yeah... some of you crazy folks now enjoy kissing. sick of america!!
