I guess the only positive side to the fact that I know this song is that I have no memory of the video portion...of course I may just be blocking something so traumatic. Check it out if you dare!

Well family, I was thinking that it has been a really long time since I posted anything...so I was going to post but I definitely can't show up either of my siblings in the posting skills. So oh well, I won't try.
Life is really good, Katie and I are having a LOT of fun. I'm very excited for mom to come up in a few weeks!! Classes aren't too stressful, but enough to keep me busy. I'm the enrichment leader in my ward and we just had our big enrichment, so thats nice to have done. I also work at the library as many of you might have heard. I look at microfiche. Yes, thats micro fish, little fishies. I feed them and clean their tank and watch to make sure they don't get sucked up into the filter. Ok so really that isn't what I do but it's what a lot of people THINK I do when I tell them I'm looking at microfiche. I have to go through stacks of it from an old filing cabinet to see if we can throw it away. It's pretty tedious work but the job fell into my lap and they pay me 7.50 an hour, so I'll take it!
Another perk of the job is that I sit by a computer, so I just plug my headphones in and find movies on youtube to watch. It's been great! I have found a ton of TV shows from when I was a kid...the old Aladdin TV episodes, The Flintstones movies, and my personal favorite, Jem and the holograms. I'm not sure if any of you remember good old Jem but we had an episode recorded that I used to watch all the time. I didn't know it was a TV show, I thought it was a movie and I remember feeling a little lost when I would watch it, like I didn't really know what was going on. When I started looking for it, I figured out it's a TV series. No wonder I was lost. So now I watch Jem and the Holograms episodes during work. They are truly a work of art, great animation and they sing like three different times in each episode. Really, you should look them up, you'll never be the same!
Thats really my life. I am a manager in the service organization so I get to work with Adam and its a lot of fun. Things are going really well and I'm excited we all get to be together in 7 weeks, as Krista told me yesterday!!

Background Change
So, you may notice a change in the blog as your reading this. As I was laughing hysterically at Adam's post and Krista's rhyme, I realized that it was no longer autumn. Therefore I decided to finally change the background in honor of Krista and Aaron's wedding colors. Keep the funny stories coming!
dedicated to mom
so I was all excited to have a cool blog post and then I read Adam's post and I realized mine paled in comparison. It really was hilarious- so much that i had to share the funnyness with my coworkers. But because of that I've decided not to compare and just post mine anyway. I just have to preface this by saying that I'm sure all of you will be left speechless by my incredible talents and you will recognize where they came from.
This was an on-the-spot poem I wrote for Aaron when I was missing him at work today. I guess it's a mixture of mom's rhyming technique and the essence of cool that I acquired during my college years when we learned to talk like gangstas. I'm guessing the majority of you- well maybe just the guys- won't appreciate this but I thought I would share my talents anyway because at least mom will appreciate it.
wassup, yo. did you know fo sho
we gonna be hitched soon i wantcha to know
you da bomb and i want ya foreva
i don't wantcha to forget not eva, not eva
you my main man (like a jelly belly) foo
cuz you make me go crazy i can't get enougha you
you sweet and addicting i can't wait for us to be
married in the temple for all e-ter-ni-ty.
2 verses. amazing, i know. peace out homeslizzles

Really, WOW!
I think we might need to shut down the blog...nothing can top that post, why try! That's pretty awesome. Let us know how many dates you get from that one! I'm trying not to cry from laughing so hard!

I love my laptop!
As many of you know, I have an interesting greeting when I turn my laptop on. I can setup what I want the nice computer voice to say to me. When I realized this I decided to type in something motivational, so when it turns on it says "Welcome Adam, you incredible hunk of humanity". I've enjoyed having this in the solitude of my own room with an occasional roommate hearing it. It's been pretty funny. I thought it might, though, really come back to bite me.
I was in my excel class this afternoon and I needed to transfer a file from my laptop to the computer I was working on. I unzipped my laptop case and tried to transfer the file by email. The internet wasn't working and the computer just seemed really slow. So I pulled out my flash drive and went to put it in my laptop. Just then it started talking to me, and of course the volume was all the way up. "Welcome Adam" it said. I took drastic measures as it blared through the quiet classroom and shut my laptop immediately. Little did I realize I should have hit the mute button because shutting it doesn't stop it when it's malfunctioning. There was nothing I could do as I sat there listening to "you incredible hunk of humanity" blasted so that anyone within 10 feet could hear it clearly.
Everyone felt a bit too awkward to comment at the time, except for the girl next to me who was laughing her head off. She commented on what a nice greeting I had. I simply replied that we all need a boost to our day every once in a while and it might as well come from my computer. It was really hard not to laugh the rest of the class period.

I have to congratulate Adam on some good blog postings. For not having your own blog you're pretty good at it. I just never know what to blog about. I feel like it's not really in me to be poetic enough to write about my life in a way that makes it interesting for others to read about. I figure they can just experience it with me or be totally oblivious to my life. But I'll just assume that in this case since I'm getting married that must be exciting enough in and of itself to write about.
So here's a little update on wedding stuff. We finally figured out what everyone in the bridal party would be wearing- that includes all of you- so that's been a big stress reliever. Now, we have just recently decided to have a line so just a heads up that it may be a bit of a long night since there will be 27 people in that line. However, since I'm only getting married once I expect you to stand with smiles and firm handshakes until the line ends which will probably only last about 2 hours. I figure it's not too much to ask for one night of your lives since it is such an exciting thing for me and I've just decided that this is the one thing in my life where I can be completely selfish and do things the way I want to.
AND HOORAY for taking finals early. wow, that was some of the best news I've heard in a long time. I'm so excited we can get married on Friday and have the reception Saturday. This means that we can have everyone come for the whole weekend! yeah!
so i guess that's all for updates. let me know if you have any questions.
oh and ps- we're not really having a line. i just put that in for humor purposes which I'm sure you all greatly appreciated. haha i'm so funny.

I was at the temple last night cleaning. It was a good experience. It was nice and serene for the most part. It was interesting to see people vacuum. All of the sudden they're making noise in the temple so it's ok to sing at the top of their lungs. That was enjoyable but got old a little quick. I was asked to shine the brass on the doorknobs with vinegar. Then I was asked to clean the front doors and windows with vinegar. Then I was asked to clean around the base of the bathroom and changing stalls with vinegar. Then I was asked to clean the bottom of the chairs in the baptistry with vinegar. My hands still reek of it a bit. Did you know that vinegar smells like cheetos when it gets old? It does. It was a good experience but I almost threw up in the temple cause of the smell.
