Are you kidding me?!
So this is a much better throwback than that horror on youtube krista made us watch...(i still want to curl up in the fetal position when i think of that). I didn't know they still made this stuff, I've checked the cereal aisle from time to time, but have never run across them...until today! Heather thought I was crazy when i freaked out at the grocery store over a cereal. They're not quite as good as i remember, but not bad for a "healthy" cereal. I can just hear it now..."is something constipating your system? do you want to be more regular? then stop by and grab some corn bran...you'll be moving in no time!" Well, I thought it was pretty great.
Oh, and Krista, i technically don't have a commission yet, so the navy hasn't paid for anything and i owe them squat (that's an especially applicable term for this post, isn't it?). anyway, they're still waiting for a spot to "open up" for me, whatever that means. it feels like we're gettin the run around here...we'll let you know.

okay so i can't really remember what i was going to post about before but i'll just pretend because apparently the suspense is killing spencer and since he can't die yet (he still owes the navy 3 years of service) i'll save him and tell you. So life is going great! Work is fun all the time (seriously) and it's soooo nice that i don't just dread going to work. really i don't think i've ever had a job like this one. My calling has been really fun too but I'm sensing that we're going to be released soon b/c our relief society president is seriously dating Darin Brady (didn't know if you knew that spencer) so i think they'll be getting engaged sometime soon and then we'll all be released so that kinda makes me sad. Things with Aaron are going great too. we hit our 4 month mark on december 1st. kinda crazy! oh and i think my chronic fatigue is actually getting better so that's been really exciting. As long as i take the tons of pills i have to i've been seeing signs of improvement. now if only i could figure out how to go to bed earlier...hmmm. i'm not really sure how to solve that problem. :) well that's about it for me i guess. i can't wait till everyone comes home for christmas...well almost everyone. we'll be missing you spencer and heather. and chunter and harlotte (as megan once said as she was praying for them.) k, peace out for now homeslizzles!

I want to blog too.... I just don't have anything to blog about. Let's see. Finals are going well. I finished (almost) one of my projects today and the other one on my list today still hasn't gotten done because I've been procrastinating. Whats new? And I'm going over to Adams in like 45 minutes, so I guess it won't get done tonight!!! I'm running on very little sleep right now, I went to bed at 2 and had to get up at 8 (on a Saturday!!.. I know, I know, for all you parents out there, thats sleeping in) for a group project. But oh well, isn't that what college life is about? I'm sorry this is such a pointless post, but I just wanted to feel cool. And Spencer please don't shoot me down for feeling cool cause I blogged.

I'm "blogging" a lot lately, I feel more comfortable if others do it more too. But I had a really cool day the other day.
Brother Eyring used to be involved in management consulting. He was actually one of the top partners, just under the CEO for a major consulting firm in Boston, so he has a lot of experience. I shot him an email over Thanksgiving break saying I wanted to talk to him for a few minutes about internships. I set up an appointment for Tues. He's in the executive offices so I had to check my appointment with the secretary. We went into his office which was very large. I haven't been in an office that size, ever. We sat down and had a really good discussion. He basically said the consulting firms are looking for "intellectual brilliance", majors like the hard sciences or economics, etc. and that my major is looked upon as a weak major. He gave me a lot of different options though. The cool part was at the end of our talk he told me he wanted to send me a copy of his new book over email. He said it's still with Deseret Book right now waiting to be published. He asked me to read what was interesting to me and then send him my suggestions and comments! I really don't know what kind of suggestions he's looking for. But he's always like that, looking for good advice. It was a really motivating interview. I was so impressed that he would take 25 minutes out of his day just to help me out and teach me about consulting.
