not-so-exciting-kind-of-scary experience

So I just thought I would update everyone on our new experience last week. Tuesday night we went out to eat at Chili's with a gift card from our wedding. We were excited because we'd never eaten there before and they had a deal going on. Anyway shortly after we got home Aaron started feeling pains of indigestion. It kept getting worse even tho he took tums, rolaids and the unmentionable pink stuff (pepto bismal sp?). Eventually he started feeling a tightening in his chest and lots of pressure that was making it hard to breathe. I started calling instacares but no one was open so I called the hospital and they said since it was his chest he should go to the ER. We wanted a second opinion so we called his stepmom who's a nurse and she said the same thing. So off we went at 12:30 to the ER. It was getting worse while we were waiting and finally I got up and asked if someone could possibly help him now since he was having a harder time breathing and was near passing out. We got him in and they started doing tests. They did a chest xray, an ekg, and an I.V. to get some blood samples. His parents came up and his dad gave him a blessing. It was nice to have their support.
Eventually (about 4 hours later) the dr. came in and gave us the diagnosis. we can't remember the word for it but it's something similiar to Pleurisy which is an inflammation of the lining of the lungs. So they told him to take 800 miligrams of ibprofen 3 times a day and rest. We got home around 5 in the morning and slept for about 2 hours before he woke up with shortness of breath. Luckily it got better and he's been slowly recovering. We discovered that stress is a big contributor to his pain and tightness so we've been trying to lower that.
Anyway it was definitely a new adventure that i'd be totally fine with never experiencing again.
But i thought I would just share our news. This past weekend was awesome to be a part of the Crockett family events. Candice went through the temple on friday night. Bethanie was baptized Saturday morning and Ryan gave his farewell talk on Sunday. After lunch at Crockett's Aaron and I drove down to Lehi to babysit Amelia's 5 kids. It was pretty intense putting them all to bed at once. I think we neglected the baby but she lived through it. We definitely don't feel a desire to have 5 children right now. Aaron asked if we could just start at the beginning with one. I feel good about that. (this isn't any sort of announcement btw). So it was a pretty crazy week and we were happy to get back home.
So that's about it. Oh but our most exciting news is that we are going to Las Vegas the first weekend in September!! Aaron's grandma called and said she had planned a trip for her and her kids to go to a show down there but his uncle couldn't go so she invited us! We're just paying for the gas money to get down there. And then we'll go to Page AZ to visit his sister and brother in law (which is by Lake Powell). So we're pretty excited. Our first gambling experience, um, that is, i mean... just kidding!
Love you all
